MLS LASER THERAPY

is a form of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) that combines different wavelengths and synchronized emission to treat various musculoskeletal and neuropathic conditions. It is particularly used for pain management and promoting healing in the foot, ankle, and lower extremities.

Benefits of MLS Laser Therapy for Foot, Ankle, and Lower Extremities

1. Pain Relief

  - MLS laser therapy can effectively reduce pain by modulating nerve activity and decreasing the release of pain-inducing chemicals.

  - Conditions treated include plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, arthritis, and general foot and ankle pain.

2. Reduced Inflammation

  - The laser therapy helps reduce inflammation by decreasing the production of inflammatory cytokines and increasing anti-inflammatory factors.

  - This can benefit conditions like bursitis, tendonitis, and inflammatory arthritis.

3. Enhanced Tissue Repair and Regeneration

  - MLS laser promotes cellular repair and regeneration by stimulating mitochondrial activity and ATP production.

  - It is useful for treating soft tissue injuries, muscle strains, and ligament sprains.

4. Improved Circulation

  - The therapy enhances blood flow to the treated area, which accelerates healing and reduces recovery time.

  - This is beneficial for conditions like diabetic foot ulcers and poor circulation-related issues.

5. Accelerated Wound Healing

  - By stimulating collagen production and enhancing fibroblast activity, MLS laser aids in quicker wound healing.

  - This can be especially helpful for post-surgical recovery and chronic wound management.

Time to See Positive Results

The duration to see positive results from MLS laser therapy can vary depending on the severity and type of the condition, as well as the individual’s overall health. Generally:

Acute Conditions

 - For acute injuries such as sprains, strains, or recent inflammation, patients may notice improvements within 1-3 sessions. Pain reduction and decreased inflammation are often the first noticeable benefits.

Chronic Conditions

 - For chronic conditions like arthritis, plantar fasciitis, or long-term tendinitis, it might take longer. Typically, patients may start to see significant improvements after 6-10 sessions.

Post-Surgical Healing

 - Post-surgical patients might observe faster wound healing and reduced pain within the first few sessions, with more pronounced benefits over a series of treatments.

Treatment Frequency and Duration:

Frequency

 - Initial treatments are often scheduled 2-3 times per week. As improvement is observed, the frequency might be reduced.

Session Duration

 - Each session typically lasts between 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the size and number of areas being treated.

Cost of Treatment

MLS Laser Therapy is NOT COVERED by insurance.  Our pricing is as follows:

One Foot / Extremity:  $75.00 per session

Both Feet / Extremities:  $100.00 per session

It typically takes 3 sessions notice any significant improvement.

Summary

MLS laser therapy offers a range of benefits for musculoskeletal conditions of the foot, ankle, and lower extremities, including pain relief, reduced inflammation, enhanced tissue repair, improved circulation, and accelerated wound healing. Acute conditions may show improvement in a few sessions, while chronic issues might require more extended treatment to see significant benefits. The therapy is generally well-tolerated and non-invasive, making it a favorable option for many patients.
